Box Score

Lewisburg, Pa. - The Marist men's lacrosse team (0-2) fell to host Bucknell today by the score of 11-3. Junior midfielder Bill Duerr had two goals for the Red Foxes while sophomore midfielder Matt Donovan scored his first career goal.

Donovan got Marist on the board first as he took a pass from junior attackman Tim Iuculano and fired a shot past Bison goalie Matt Baran at the 7:53 mark of the first quarter. Bucknell would score four unanswered goals before halftime, however, to take the lead for good.

Duerr took advantage of extra-man opportunities to score two goals in the second half. Freshman attackman Pat Van Hall recorded his first career assist on Duerr's second goal.

Junior Stephen Gravino made seven saves for the Red Foxes while Baran recorded nine for Bucknell. Attackman Chris Cara rang up three goals and six assists to lead the home team while attackman Kirk Klett tallied four goals. Bucknell is now 1-0 on the season.

Marist is back in action Tuesday, March 8 when it travels to Loyola for a 3 p.m. contest. The Greyhounds are ranked 16th in the latest InsideLacrosse.com poll.
