Marist Adjusts Athletics Schedule Due To Inclement Weather

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.-Oncoming inclement weather this weekend has forced the Marist to make changes to its athletics schedule over the next couple of days.

Joe Raccuia's baseball squad will now face Rider in a doubleheader beginning at noon on Sunday, with the third game of the series now slated for 11 a.m. on Monday.

Andy Copelan's men's lacrosse team will now face Manhattan at Dietz Stadium in Kingston on Saturday, April 2 at 7 p.m. The game was to be played originally at Leonidoff Field.

Noelle Cebron's women's lacrosse squad will not face St. Joseph's on Sunday at 1 p.m. as the game has been cancelled and will not be re-scheduled.

Melissa Tucci's softball team will still face Yale on Sunday in a doubleheader, but will do so at 2 p.m. instead of noon.

Tim Smith's men's tennis squad will now go on the road to St. Peter's for Saturday's match at 11 a.m., while the program's home match on Sunday against Loyola has been moved to 11 a.m. on the indoor courts at Dutchess Racquet and Pool. The 3:30 match against New Hampshire on Saturday has been cancelled and will not be re-scheduled. Finally, the match against Manhattan on Thursday, April 7th at 2:30 p.m. has been moved to the courts at nearby Vassar College.

Peter Angarola's women's tennis team will also travel to St. Peter's on Saturday at 2 p.m. in another match that was originally scheduled to take place in Poughkeepsie. The team's Sunday match against Loyola will now be played at 2 p.m., also at Dutchess Racquet and Pool.

The men's and women's track squads will also not be competing this weekend in the Wagner Invitational due to the inclement weather.
