NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. - The Marist men's tennis team bounced back after a tough loss versus Manhattan with a 5-2 victory at Niagara on Sunday. The Red Foxes won four of the six singles matches, including junior Pedro Genovese's three-set win, improving their overall record to 13-2, with a 5-1 record in the MAAC.
Junior Mark Santucci and sophomore Ray Josephs won both of their singles and doubles matches. Santucci defeated Alex Abji 6-3, 6-4, and teamed with Leonardo Rodriguez for an 8-6 win. Josephs dropped just one game all afternoon, winning 6-0, 6-0 in singles, while he and Alain Boletta were 8-1 winners in doubles.
Marist will return to action on Thursday when it travels to Connecticut to take on MAAC foe Fairfield.
