POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.-The Marist baseball squad earned votes in the latest Top 35 poll released by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association on Wednesday. The Red Foxes went 33-21 overall this season after capturing their fourth MAAC title in the last six years and fifth NCAA Tournament appearance since 1997.
Marist advanced to the NCAA Baton Rouge regional last weekend and held leads in both losses, including a 5-3 lead over 13th-ranked LSU in the sixth inning of Friday's game. Junior outfielder Kevin Grauer was named to the All-Regional Team after collecting four hits with two runs and two RBI in the two games against the Tigers and Northwestern State.
