Siena senior guard Antoine Jordan
On Marist's early play:
Basically, we got lost in the first half. They shot the ball well in the first half and our lack of defensive focus made it hard for us to catch up. They came out hot, everybody was hitting for them. The way we played in the second half is how we should have played in the first.

What Coach said at halftime (defense):
He just reminded us that our first half isn't how we play and to go out there and leave it all on the court.

On losing a late one point lead:
Jared Jordan made some big plays down the stretch. I give credit to them for making those plays.

Siena freshman guard Kenny Hasbrook
On neutralizing Marist's inside game:
We know our big men are fast and we needed to take advantage of the mismatch. Coach told me to keep attacking all game because they will have match-up problems.

Losing the late lead:
We gave them a head start with a 12-point lead and that was hard to come back from. Down the stretch, they made the big plays. I loved the atmosphere.

Siena Head Coach Fran McCaffrey
Overall:
Marist is very difficult to defend because they have an inside and outside game. Coming into the game, we were concerned with post defense on Stilphen and Smith and we were pretty effective; consequently, they hit some threes early. Giving up 66% shooting in the first half on the road, you are going to have a hard time winning. Obviously, we had to use our perimeter defense and I think we did an effective job in the second. Our shot selection in the second half was as good as it could have been.

On the play of Marist's Jared Jordan:
Obviously Jared Jordan made the plays at the end that real good players do, he was the guy who stepped up to win that game for them.

On the play of Tay Fisher:
Tay took it personally that his man (Whittington) scored 30 last time and he came out with an idea that he would play better defense. He moved well without the ball and hit a big three when we needed it.

Down the stretch:
I was upset that we could not make the big plays when we needed that. Stilphen getting his own rebound after that missed free throw was disappointing.

Marist Head Coach Matt Brady:
It took everything we had to beat a terrific basketball team. I am so impressed with that team. They play a style that fits their personnel. We made some hustle plays that were ultimately the difference in the game.

On Jared Jordan performance:
It is amazing to play at that level against this team and not turn the ball over. He is probably the best point guard in the conference.

On 7 -game winning streak:
We don't pay attention to the past. We forget about what is behind us and look forward to the big conference game we were playing tonight. Whatever happens, whether it is good or bad you cannot change it, you only can get better.

Marist junior guard Will Whittington:
Great players step up when needed, Jared is great and he saw he needed to make plays. In the end he was up for the challenge and he stepped up.

On shot selection:
We don't have set plays where I just run out there and shoot a 3. When I see a shot I take it. I was able to get open a couple of times early on long rebounds for some big shots.

On crowd:
It was a great atmosphere. I hope it stays like that. Every play in close games is so crucial and it's great to have the crowd behind us.

Marist junior guard Jared Jordan:
On second half surge:
(Manager) Tommy Liberati said to take over and I just tried my best to make a difference. I just shot that three and luckily it went in for us.
