BALTIMORE, MD. - Sally Hanson (Guerneville, Calif.) recorded a match high 27 kills and hit .553 for the match.
Hanson led a trio of Red Foxes who posted double digit kills. Jaime Kenworthy (Aston, Pa.) and Christy Lukes (Mesa, Ariz.) recorded 14 and 10, respectively. Kenwothy has taken over the top spot on the career kills list and is three shy of 1,000. Hanson is number two on the all time list with 976.
The Red Foxes also had four players post double figures in digs, led by Kim McEathron (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) with 24. Dawn Jan (Belleville, N.J.) and Kelsey Schaefer (Maria Stein, Ohio) each recorded 14 digs, while Kenworthy posted 12 for the Foxes. Schaefer led the team with three total blocks and Jan posted 62 assists.
Loyola was led by Blair Snyder who's 22 kills led four greyhounds who had double figures in the category. Rachel Schillinger posted 17 kills, while Karlee Woodward and Nicole Scimeme recorded 15 and 11. The `Hounds also finished with four players with double digit digs, led by Kimi Gabriel who recorded a match high 35. Chrissy Cruz led all players with 63 assists.
The five game match featured 32 tie scores and 15 lead changes, before Loyola ultimately prevailed. With the loss Marist falls to 4-11 overall on the season and 2-4 in MAAC matches. The Foxes will look to end a two match skid on Wednesday when they play host to the 2005 MAAC Champion Siena Saints. The match is scheduled to being at 7:00 p.m. in the James J. McCann Center.
