POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.-The Marist football squad announced its 2007 football schedule on Tuesday, which features four Patriot League opponents and the first-ever matchup against an Ivy League opponent as part of its 11-game schedule next season.

The Red Foxes will travel to Columbia on Sept. 22 for their first-ever showdown with a team from the Ivy League. Marist will also face Patriot League powers Lafayette and Bucknell on the road this season, while Fordham and Georgetown will travel to Marist's newly-renovated Leonidoff Field.

The Red Foxes will also travel to San Diego once again this season, which was the site of a thrilling 2005 contest. In that game, Marist battled the top-ranked Toreros tooth and nail before falling 42-35.

Marist's homecoming will be Oct. 6 against Duquesne, while Senior Day will be Nov. 3 against Georgetown.

The Red Foxes went 3-1 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference last season to earn a share of the league title for the first time since the 1994 season.
