Opening statement:

"I give Niagara all the credit in the world. In my three years here, that's the best defensive effort they've had against any of the three teams I've coached."

On the performance of Ryan Stilphen (who scored 20 points on 9-for-12 shooting):

"He's got a huge heart and he's got the spirit of a warrior, and he played really hard."

On the performance of Niagara's Charron Fisher:

"I thought he played great. I don't care if the gym is empty and you're shooting by yourself; you make five out of five (from three-point range), you're doing something right."

Marist forward Ryan Stilphen

On the nature of the game:

"Those are the types of games you want to play in, when they're close in front of your home crowd. We've got to make the plays at the end."

Marist point guard Jared Jordan

On if he felt he did enough to help the team:

"Obviously not, because we didn't win. I take a lot of responsibility when we don't win."

Niagara Head Coach Joe Mihalich

"We just beat a real good team on their floor, and they don't lose much here, so this is a proud moment for us. It's something we hope we can build on."

Niagara's Charron Fisher

On if he felt he had to take the game over (Fisher scored a game-high 33 points):

"I knew I had to step up my game and come out and play better than I played than when we played them at home. We lost in overtime at home versus these guys, and I didn't play good at all. I knew that if I played good, we had a chance to beat these guys."
