POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist volleyball dropped a 3-1 (21-30, 30-28, 30-23, 30-20) match to Loyola Sunday afternoon at the McCann Center. Sophomore outside hitter Alexandra Schultze (Austin, Tex.) had her second double-double in as many days, leading the Red Foxes with 15 kills and adding 13 digs.

Freshman middle blocker Allie Burke (Alpharetta, Ga.) had a good all-around match with 11 kills, hitting .421 with seven digs and five blocks. Lindsey Schmid (Austin, Tex.) had another strong match with 10 kills, four blocks, and a match-high five service aces. Freshman libero Emily Brosky (Whitehall, Pa.) had a team-high 18 digs. The Red Foxes are now 9-15 on the season, and 5-7 in MAAC play.

Marist came out strong in game one, holding the Greyhounds to a .109 hitting percentage and winning 30-21. Game two was the closest of the match, with seven ties and three lead changes. Loyola would take control at 28-27 on a service ace by Christina Greenup. The Greyhounds would win the game 30-28 on a Nina Camaioni kill.

Loyola would get the better of Marist in game three 30-23. In game four, the Greyhounds would have their best hitting game of the match, hitting .341 as a team and holding Marist to a .150 hitting percentage. Loyola (17-10, 8-4 MAAC) was led by Camaioni's 17 kills. She also added 22 digs. Setter Chrissy Cruz had 50 assists for the Greyhounds, and libero Brittney Born had a match-high 26 digs.

Marist will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 27 with a match against Manhattan at the McCann Center. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
