Red Foxes Earn Second MAAC Win

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist women's swimming and diving team won ten events in a 136-90 win over Iona at the McCann Center Natatorium Tuesday night.

The Red Foxes got off to a good start, as Jamie Falco (North Haven, Conn.), Lyndsay Martin (Schenectady, N.Y.), Sandra Bujalski (Thomaston, Conn.), and Madison Walker (Colleyville, Tex.) won the 400 yard medley relay in a time of 4:05.19. Jenell Walsh-Thomas (Medford, N.J.) won three events on the evening, starting with the 1000 freestyle in a time of 10:41.99. She won the 200 yard IM in 2:14.44, with teammate Savannah Puca (Huntington, N.Y.) finishing second. Walsh-Thomas also won the 200 backstroke in a time of 2:11.57.

Bujalski would earn an individual win in the 200 yard freestyle, winning in a time of 1:58.70. Falco would also score an individual win, finishing first in the 50 yard freestyle in 25.58 seconds. Martin and junior Kelsea Fortner (Mystic, Conn.) finished 1-2 in the 200 yard butterfly, with Martin's 2:13.77 the winning time.

Marist swept the diving events, as Melissa Mangona (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) won both the one meter and three meter events.

The Red Foxes (2-2, 2-1 MAAC) return to the pool on Nov.30 in Baltimore to take on Delaware, Niagara, and Loyola over that weekend.
