POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - For the second time this season, senior goalie Elizabeth Davis (Albuquerque, N.M.) was named the MAAC Water Polo League's Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday. Davis also earned the honor on March 12.
Davis led the Red Foxes to a perfect 4-0 weekend to start conference play. She made 32 saves in Marist's four games, giving up only 25 goals. The senior made 11 saves in Marist's 12-6 win over Villanova, and held Siena and St. Francis (N.Y.) to four goals each. The Red Foxes are currently leading the MAAC in goals against average, giving up only 7.28 goals per game.
Marist goes on the road on Wednesday to take on Hartwick. Gametime is scheduled for 8 p.m.
