POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Seniors Erin Betsch (Port Washington, N.Y.), Caitlyn Hinchey (Glastonbury, Conn.), Jessica Guarino (Wantagh, N.Y.) and alums Morgan Dillon (Freeport, N.Y.) and Lindsay Rinefierd (Smithtown, N.Y.) of the Marist women's lacrosse team were named to Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll on Aug. 19. To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must obtain a junior status academically.

In total, 151 student-athletes were honored, who represent 62 different institutions. Two other Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) schools had student-athletes on the list - Manhattan paced the conference with six selections, while Canisius joined the Red Foxes with five a piece.

The individual award comes six days after the Red Foxes was named an IWLCA Academic Squad, because they maintained a team grade-point average of 3.0 or above during the 2010 season.

Marist is coming off its second MAAC Championship in three seasons and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time during the 2010 season. The Red Foxes fell in the opening round to eventual national champions Maryland, in College Park on May 15.
