With two outs in the top of the fourth inning, freshman utility Alyssa Zahka (Lexington, Mass.) hit a solo homerun to break the tie and give Marist a 2-1 advantage. The game remained 3-1 in Marist's favor until the top of the seventh inning when Marist padded its lead with two unearned runs, extending their lead to 5-1. Osterhaus pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the seventh inning to earn the complete game win. In seven innings of work, she allowed just one run on six hits and struck out three batters.
