FAIRFIELD, CONN. - The Marist volleyball team fell for the second time in 11 days at the hands of Fairfield, falling by a 3-0 (25-20, 25-6, 25-14) score on Sunday afternoon in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) match. The Red Foxes were missing three starters in Hanna Stoiberg (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), Mackenzie Stephens (Holland, Mich.) and Grace Hill (Kalamazoo, Mich.) who were all out due to injury.
Katie Estes (Saugus, Calif.) led the Red Foxes offense for the second straight game, registering six kills while also finishing second on the team with seven digs. Brooke Zywick (Garden City, Mich.) had a team-high eight digs while Audra Brady (Allentown, Pa.) had 16 assists and was third with six digs.
Marist (6-12, 2-6 MAAC) returns to McCann Arena next weekend for a pair of home MAAC matches. They will host Rider on Saturday at 4 p.m. and Loyola (Md.) on 2 p.m.
