POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist men's 400-meter relay team of senior Michael McCloskey (Latham, N.Y.), freshman Tyler Schwarz (Fairfield, Conn.), junior Darren Bushey (Pittsfield, Mass.) and sophomore Jesse Aprile (Yorktown, N.Y.) set a school record on Saturday as the track and field team competed at the Vassar Invitational. The quartet combined to run a time of 43.00 seconds, setting the school record by .33 seconds and finishing just .01 seconds out of first place at the meet.
In addition to being part of the 400 relay, Schwarz set personal bests with his times in the 100- (11.43) and 200-meter dashes (23.31). Senior Michael Clifford (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) won the 400-meter hurdles in 59.28 seconds.
