EUGENE, Oregon – Freshman distance runner
Logan Schaeffler has qualified for the USATF Under 20 National Championship and will compete in the men's 3K steeplechase final on Thursday, June 19. The event is set to begin at 5:47 p.m. Pacific (8:47 p.m. Eastern).
Schaeffler had an impressive rookie campaign for the Red Foxes during the outdoor season, running the 3,000m steeplechase three times in the spring, improving his time after each race and taking podium twice. He ran a 9:25.74 at the 2025 Colonial Relays, which was good for an eighth place finish. He followed that performance with a first place finish at the Rider Invitational. turning in a time of 9:18.35.
He wrapped up the outdoor season with a second place finish at the MAAC Outdoor Championship with a finish of 9:09.35, his fastest time of the season.
