Track and Field to Conclude Outdoor Campaign at IC4A/ECAC Championships

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA – The Marist men's and women's track & field teams travel to Fairfax, Virginia, for the IC4A/ECAC D1 Outdoor Championships at the GMU Field House for their ninth and final meet of 2025. 
 
 
Last Time Out
  • The Marist track and field teams competed at the MAAC Outdoor Championships, the eighth outdoor meet of the season, from May 10 through May 11.
  • On the women's side, Sierra Fisher placed sixth overall in the 1500-meter run trials on day one, qualifying her for Sunday's finals with a time of 4:48.38.  
  • The Red Foxes set two new PRs in the 400-meter dash trials: Julia Kropo (9th) finished with 58.91, and Nina Florio (16th) ran 1:00.49. 
  • Julianna Mirabile placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with her finals qualifying PR of 1:03.20. 
  • Julia Kropo (16th) and Stephania Grandos (31st) raced PRs with times of 25.45 and 26.05. 
  • Emily Litke claimed silver in the 3000-meter steeplechase with her PR of 10:56.36, earning her the 100th fastest time in the nation. Mary Dougherty (14th) also ran a PR at 12:04.41. 
  • Julianna Mirabile took bronze in the 400-meter hurdle finals on day two with a PR of 1:04.10. 
  • Grace Murphy (21st) threw a PR of 10.24 meters in shot put. 
  • The Marist women's 4x800 meter relay (Hawkins, Fletcher, Fisher, O'Brien) claimed gold with a time of 9:08.57. 
  • As for the men, Miles Chamberlain's time of 3:58.54 placed him 9th overall in the 1500-meter run trials, qualifying him for Sunday's finals to start day one. 
  • Easton Eberwein qualified for Sunday in the 400-meter dash with a fifth-place finish and a time of 49.59. Weston LaBrecque (19th) raced a PR in the 400-meter dash at 51.23. 
  • Amari Mathis clinched first place with a time of 10.33 in the 100-meter trials, a new school record. Mathis will compete on Sunday in the 100-meter finals. Ramsey Heredia (29th) also raced a PR at 11.34. 
  • Joaquin Bell-Andrade (8th) qualified for the finals in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.17. 
  • Miracle Okoli (8th) qualified for the 400-meter hurdle finals with a time of 55.77. Simon Advento (14th) ran a PR in the event with a time of 57.08. 
  • Amari Mathis placed third in the 200-meter dash prelims with a finals qualifying time 21.60. Maxwell Sylver (11th) earned a PR with a time of 22.30. 
  • Logan Schaeffler claimed silver in the 3000-meter steeplechase, with his PR of 9:09.35 qualifying him for Junior Nationals. Kevin Cannon (6th) and Patrick Wininger (12th) also raced PRs, with their respective times of 9:33.90 and 9:57.19. 
  • On day two, the Marist 4x800 meter relay team (Logan, Wilson, Bell-Andrade, Chamberlain) earned silver with a season-best time of 7:48.96. 
  • The Marist 4x400 meter relay team (Advento, Trocolar, Eberwein, LaBrecque) set a new school record of 3:16.83. 
  • Amari Mathis was named Outstanding Men's Track Performer of the meet after taking home gold in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.34 and in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.26. 
 
 
Women's History at ECAC/I4CA Championships
  • This Marist women's track and field team competed at the ECAC Championships from May 13 through May 14, 2023. 
  • Adele Alexander placed eighth in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:07.74, earning her All-East honors. 
  • Hannah Belleville (18th) ran a PR of 4:41.74 in the 1500-meter run. 
 
 
Men's History at ECAC/I4CA Championships
  • The Marist men's track and field team competed at the IC4A Championships from May 13 through May 14, 2023. 
  • Daniel Czop set a school record (9:04.71) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in his final collegiate race, a 15-second personal-best time and IC4A All-East performance. Mark Valentino set the previous record of 9:05.01 seven years ago (to the day) at the same meet.  
  • Chris Paxis (13th) ran a PR of 3:50.21, the second-fastest time in school history. 
  • The 3,200-meter relay team, anchored by Paxis, earned IC4A All-East with an 8th-place finish and a season-best time of 1:52.97. 
  • Easton Eberwein (25th) ran an outdoor personal-best time in the 400-meter dash of 49.70.
