NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Senior captain Thomas Lipari (Greenvale, N.Y.) of the Marist men's track and field team won the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Yale Springtime Invitational on Sunday. Lipari won the race with a personal-best time of 9:36.63.
Sophomore Jesse Aprile (Yorktown, N.Y.) set personal bests in the 100-meter dash and long jump. His time of 11.18 seconds in the 100 was the second-fastest time in school history.
Junior Arquimedes DelaCruz (Wantagh, N.Y.) placed second in the 1,500 with a personal best time of exactly four minutes. The Red Foxes also had four runners in the top 10 of the 5,000, which included a personal-best time from sophomore Billy Hild (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.).
