Marist 4 X 800 Relay Breaks School Record For 3rd Time This Spring

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Marist men's 3,200-meter relay team of junior Chris Vanzetta (Latham, N.Y.), freshman David Marthy (Latham, N.Y.), junior Matt Panebianco (Tappan, N.Y.) and senior Kyle Havard (Atlantic Highlands, N.Y.) broke the school record for the third time this season at Saturday's IC4A Championships.

The quartet ran a time of 7:40.65, a full second better than its mark of 7:41.68 at April's Bison Outdoor Classic, which had topped a time of 7:48.55 at the Fred Hardy Invitational in March.

Vanzetta led off with a 1:54.9 split, followed by Marthy at 1:54.7, Panebianco in 1:56.5, and Havard - competing in his final race - in 1:54.6.

The team placed 13th overall.
