PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Fifth-year senior defensive end Terrence Fede (Nyack, N.Y.) of the Marist football team has been named to the College Sports Journal All-American Team.
This is the fifth Football Championship Subdivision All-American Team Fede has been named to. He was previously honored by College Sporting News, the Walter Camp Foundation, The Sports Network (First Team) and Associated Press (Second Team).
Fede led the FCS ranks in sacks per game this season, and finished with program records of 13 this season and 30.5 in his career.
Fede was named Pioneer Football League Defensive Player of the Year this season. He finished sixth nationally in the voting for the Buck Buchanan Award, which is presented to the best defensive player in the FCS.
In 2013, the Marist football team won a share of the PFL championship for the first time in the Red Foxes' five years in the league. With an 8-3 overall record, Marist achieved its highest win total in its 36 years as a varsity program.
