PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island – The Marist women's soccer team fell to the Brown Bears, 4-0 in non-conference action Monday afternoon. With the loss the Red Foxes move to 5-8-1 overall, 4-2-0 in conference.

The Red Foxes fell behind early and were unable to recover after Brown goals from Carly Gould in the 10^th and 12^th minute of the match. Gould struck again in the 41^st minute of action to complete her hat-trick and lead the Bears into the locker room with a 3-0 lead.

Brown would come out of halftime and score again in the 49^th minute to take a commanding 4-0 lead. Marist, resting their normal starters after a busy week of conference action and facing three games in five days, couldn't find the normal rhythm they've been accustomed to and were outshot in the match 15-8.

The Bears had four shots on goal to the Red Foxes three and each team had three corner kicks. In goal for the Red Foxes Ashley Houghton made three saves. Danielle Glazer led the team in shots with two. Kathleen Moore and Jessica Fanelli each had one shot on goal for Marist.

The Red Foxes pick right back up again with Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play this upcoming Wednesday, October 14^th as they host Iona at 4 p.m at Tenney Stadium.
