BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Marist women's and men's divers competed on the first of their two days at the NCAA Zone A Qualifier Diving Championships, held at the University of Buffalo Natatorium, on March 9.
Junior Renata Diotalevi (Madison, Conn.) was the highest finisher on the women's 3-meter board. Out of 54 competitors, Diotalevi finished 27th with 245.85 points. Senior Kimberly Tobias (San Jose, Calif.) came in 29th with a score of 239.65 points, while freshman Megan Berardelli (Ambler, Pa.) racked up 226.15 points for 39th place.
With 250.65 points on the 1-meter board, junior Josh Dodway (Niskayuna, N.Y.) finished 27th out of 50 male divers. Senior Jacob Baker (Shavertown, Pa.) racked up 234.05 points in the event to come in 37th place.
The Red Foxes will compete in the women's 1-meter dive and men's 3-meter dive on their second and final day at the NCAA meet. The competition begins at 11 a.m. with the preliminaries for the women's 1-meter dive. A live video stream will be available and live scoring will be featured on Dive Meets.
