STATEN ISLAND, New York -- The Red Foxes walked away from the Metropolitan Championships with five top 10 finishes on Friday at the Ocean Breeze Park Track and Field Athletic Complex. Overall, Marist finished 10th out of 13 teams with 14 points.
Senior Hakim Cunningham picked up a second place finish in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 0:08.34.
Freshman Andrew Burns (2:00.6), junior Nestor Taylor (1:56.9), senior Mark Vuono (1:58.2) and junior Nate Lungarini (1:58.9) placed third in the 3200 meter relay.
Mark Valentino placed eighth in the 3,000 meter run with an overall time of 8:51.57.
Freshman Brian Henderson and sophomore Josh Siegel placed ninth and tenth in the 800 meter relay with overall times of 1:58.62 and 1:59.19 respectively.
Up next, the Red Foxes will compete in the Valentine Invitational in Boston on Friday and Saturday.
