LOUDONVILLE, New York - The Marist men's lacrosse team moved to 3-1 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play and 5-5 overall with a 12-6 victory over Siena on April 9.
Senior Joseph Radin netted four goals and broke the program's all-time scoring record at the 3:56 mark of the second quarter. His 146th career goal put him past Paul Donohue, who had held the milestone since 2002.
On the Marist attack, sophomore Gannon Morrison racked up four points on two goals and two assists. Redshirt sophomore Brian Corrigan made 12 saves in goal.
Siena got on the board first before a pair of scores from junior John Vigh put the Red Foxes in front. Marist outscored the Saints 5-2 in the second quarter on a run that was highlighted by Radin feeding freshman Thomas Rago for his first career goal. By halftime, Marist had built a five-goal lead and did not look back.
Following a third period with a lone Siena goal, Radin had a pair of power play scores in the final quarter to bring his season total to 33 and career total to 148.
Siena's offense was led by sophomore Chris Robertson, who picked up a hat trick. Senior Tommy Cordts made 11 saves in net.
The Saints had 18 turnovers, nine of which were caused by the Red Foxes' defense. Siena had a 34-24 edge in ground balls but allowed Marist to go 2-for-3 on man up opportunities.
Marist will head to Stony Brook for a non-conference matchup at 7 p.m. April 12.
