POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's soccer team (1-0-0) travel to Dartmouth to take on the Big Green in the Red Foxes first road match of the 2016 season Friday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 1 P.M at Burnham Field in Hanover, New Hampshire.
Dartmouth welcomes Marist for their season opener while the Red Foxes enter the match looking for the programs first ever win against the Big Green. Dartmouth holds a 2-0 record in the series history and most recently defeated the Red Foxes 2-0 last year at Tenney Stadium. Dartmouth finished last season 8-4-4 overall and 1-3-3 in the Ivy League.
Previous Outing
The Red Foxes opened their 2016 campaign with a 4-2 home victory over the Vermont Catamounts. After falling behind 1-0 in the game's opening minutes the Red Foxes surged back behind a hat-trick from junior midfielder Camille Bowen and came away victorious.
Major Awards
For her efforts in the Red Foxes opener, Bowen was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week. The first MAAC award winner of the season made the most of her chances, capitalizing on all of her set pieces and scoring three goals with just four shots taken.
