POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Marist women's soccer team wrapped up its home regular season slate on Saturday evening with a 0-0 draw against Mount St. Mary's inside Tenney Stadium.
The Red Foxes controlled much of the match, outshooting the Mount 23-8 and earning an 8-2 edge in corner kicks, but were unable to find the back of the net despite several quality chances.
Marist nearly broke through in the 79th minute when sophomore
Sophia Dorsey stepped up to the penalty spot, but her attempt was denied to keep the match scoreless.
Sophomore
Gabby Tirado led all players with five shots, while
Julia Loncar and
Ella Bryan each added three attempts.
In goal,
Samantha Graf tallied a seven-save shutout — recording two saves in the first half before stopping five in the second.
Marist's defense continued its strong late-season form, recording its second consecutive clean sheet and fourth shutout in conference play.
With the draw, the Red Foxes move to 6-6-5 overall and 5-1-5 in the MAAC.
