EDISON, New Jersey – For the second straight time, Marist volleyball freshman Megan Fergus was selected Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.
Fergus swatted seven kills and jumped for three blocks in the Red Foxes' 3-0 victory over Siena on Sept. 24. The match marked the second consecutive meeting that Marist blanked the Saints. Fergus is second on the Red Foxes with 100 kills in the first 13 matches of her collegiate career.
The Red Foxes will face off against Fairfield in a battle of unbeaten MAAC teams at 7 p.m. Sept. 28 in McCann Arena. Wednesday evening's contest will conclude a five-match home stand for Marist and is a rematch of the 2015 MAAC Championship final.
