POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's swimming and diving team lost to Fordham, 162-76, in their 2017-18 home opener Oct. 19 in McCann Natatorium. The Red Foxes' are now 1-1 overall on the young season.
Freshman
Heather Hartmann placed second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:41.54) and swam the second leg on the Red Foxes' second place 400-yard freestyle relay squad. Classmate
Georgeanne Zimmerman clocked in at 2:29.72 to win the 200-yard breaststroke while senior
Sara Nestrowitz put up a pair of third place times in the 500- (5:16.24) and 1,000-yard freestyle (10:43.38).
On the diving boards junior
Lauren Katz placed second at three meters (231.67 points) and senior
Megan Berardelli took third place in the 1-meter event with a final score of 246.37 points.
