LOWELL, Massachusetts – The Marist men's basketball suffered a 76-73 loss at UMass Lowell in a non-conference game on Wednesday night. The Red Foxes are now 0-2, while the River Hawks improved to 2-1.

- With 26 seconds to play, Parker's basket made the score 74-71. Shawn Jones then missed the front end of a one-and-one, but the Red Foxes never drew closer than three.

Red-shirt sophomore forward Dozic had team highs in rebounds (11) and assists (seven) to go along with eight points.
- Matt Harris led all scorers with 23, thanks to seven three-pointers. Thomas finished with 21 points, 17 rebounds, and eight assists.
Notes
- This is the second time Marist and UMass Lowell have met. Both teams prevailed on their home floor.
- After just eight Red Foxes saw action in the season opener against Lehigh, 11 played against UMass Lowell. Freshmen Lasse Gummerus, and Austin Williams made their first collegiate appearances. Gummerus hit a three-pointer. Classmate Andrea Bernardi, who played four minutes against Lehigh, had two points and five rebounds in 11 minutes.
- Dating back to last season, Parker has scored at least 20 points in three straight games, and 15 games in his career.
