POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist football team closes out the season on Saturday against Pioneer Football League foe San Diego.
A win would give the Red Foxes (4-6 overall, 3-4 Pioneer Football League) their fifth consecutive season with a league record of at least .500. San Diego (8-2, 7-0) has clinched the league championship, and will be the PFL's representative in the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.

The Red Foxes are coming off of a win last weekend at home where they outlasted Morehead State on Senior Day, 38-31. Marist matched its season high in scoring with a great team effort. Senior wide receiver

Juston Christian had 141 yards receiving and a touchdown. Red-shirt junior quarterback had 315 yards and three touchdowns through the air.
Defensively, red-shirt junior linebacker
Willie Barrett was named PFL Defensive Player of the Week and STATS FCS Honorable Mention Defensive Player of the Week. Barrett notched seven tackles, two-and-a-half stops for loss, and had two key fumble recoveries in the fourth quarter.
Player To Watch
Christian enters the final game with 991 receiving yards on 57 receptions. He has had back-to-back games with at least 140 receiving yards, and needs nine on Saturday to achieve the third 1,000-yard receiving season in program history.
Scouting San Diego
San Diego won its seventh straight game last week, prevailing 63-7 at Davidson. Quarterback Anthony Lawrence was named PFL Offensive Player of the Week, and has 28 touchdowns against just one interception this season.
