CHARLESTON, South Carolina – The Marist men's basketball team suffered an 82-75 loss to Army West Point in the championship game of the Papa John's Bulldog Bash on Saturday night.

- Sophomore center Tobas Sjoberg scored the Red Foxes' first four points, but a layup by Army West Point's Matt Wilson at the 18:04 mark of the first half gave the Black Knights a 5-4 lead. Army West Point did not relinquish the lead the rest of the way.

- Parker scored a game-high 19. He also had a team-high three assists, and was tied for the team lead with four rebounds along with Dozic, Sjoberg, and freshman guard Austin Williams.
- Dozic (10 points) and freshman forward Lasse Gummerus (10 points) joined Parker in double digits. Sjoberg, Williams, and junior forward Ryan Funk all added nine points.
- Army West Point had four doule-digit scorers, led by Tommy Funk with 16 points. Funk added eight assists, and shot 9-for-10 from the free-throw line.
- Jordan Fox had a game-high nine rebounds for the Black Knights, who outrebounded the Red Foxes by a 37-28 margin.
- Army West Point shot .391 (9-for-23) from three-point range, and Marist shot .240 (6-for-25) from deep.
Notes
- Gummerus (10 points) and Williams (nine points) set career highs in scoring. Sjoberg (nine points) tied his career high in scoring.
- This marked the first time Marist has faced a non-conference opponent since the 2008-09 season, when the Red Foxes took on Delaware twice.
- This was the 18th all-time meeting between Marist and Army West Point, the most the Red Foxes have ever had against a team they have never shared a conference with. Marist leads the all-time series, 10-8.
