ORONO, MAINE – The Marist women's soccer team takes its 3-3 record to Orono, Maine for a Sunday afternoon non-conference match against the Black Bears of the University of Maine. Kickoff is set for 12 P.M.
PREVIOUS OUTING
The Red Foxes shut out the Seton Hall Pirates on Thursday night. After 27 minutes of scoreless play, the Red Foxes notched their first and only goal of the match when
Camille Bowen headed in a ball off a free kick from
Alexa Svensson. Senior goalkeeper
Makala Foley was lights out in front of the net, making seven saves and allowing the lone Bowen goal to be the difference. This was the third shutout of the season for the Red Foxes.
SCOUTING THE BLACK BEARS
The Black Bears come into Sunday's game with a record of 1-4-1, with losses coming from Brown, Northeastern, UMass, and Bryant. Four different Black Bears have scored their only four goals on the season. They will be looking to secure their first win at home. Maine holds a decisive advantage in the all-time series (8-1-0) with a recent string of dominance against the Red Foxes. The Black Bears have outscored the Red Foxes 25-3 in the series and have not allowed a goal in the last four meetings.

NEXT UP
The Red Foxes will stay in New England to finish out their non-conference play. The women will travel to Burlington, Vermont on Tuesday the 12th for a night game against the University of Vermont Catamounts that will get under way at 6 P.M. Conference play then starts up as the Red Foxes host Rider on the evening of September 16
th.
