Red Foxes Host Siena Saints

Marist Looks to Keep Things Rolling Against Siena

Poughkeepsie, New York- The Red Foxes look to continue their strong play against face Siena College on Saturday, October 13th at 1 pm.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Marist is coming off a 3-1 win against Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference foe Quinnipiac. Sophomore Sarah Austin led the team in kills while also setting a career high with 18. Junior outside hitter Nikki DeSerpa was right behind her with 17 kills. DeSerpa has been one of the most consistent players for Marist, currently sitting at third in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with 3.38 kills per set. Taylor van der Biezen reached 100 career service aces and was effective in running the offense.
 
SCOUTING SIENA
Siena sits at 1-18 overall and 0-8 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The last time out for them was a 3-0 loss against the Manhattan Jaspers. Although Siena took the loss last match Jackson Dakota and Brooke Rogers are the players to watch. They both led the team in kills with six and Jackson Dakota having a career season with 104 kills.
 
LAST TIME AGAINST SIENA
Marist took the match 3-1 earlier in the season. The Red Foxes had a well rounded offense against Siena with eight players landing kills. DeSerpa led with 15 while Megan Fergus had 12.
 
BLOCK PARTY
The Red Foxes have played great in front of the net, leading the MAAC in blocks with an average of 2.01 per set. Individually, junior Stephanie Stone ranks first in the MAAC with an average of .94 blocks per game. Sophomore Chidera Udeh has been spectacular as of late, tallying 13 blocks in the last two matches and currently ranks fourth in the MAAC with an average of .89 blocks per set. Marist's middle blocks have been some of the most accurate hitters in the MAAC, with Udeh, Stone and Lauren Waide ranking first, fourth and fifth respectively in the conference in hitting percentage.

NEXT UP
After four consecutive home games, the Red Foxes will be hitting the road to face off against Niagara University Saturday October 20th. This match will be set to begin at 1:00pm.
