BRONX, New York – Women's swimming and diving dropped a meet to Fordham 148-93.
Esabelle Gervasio continued her excellent performance on the boards, winning the 1-meter with a score of 227.65 and the 3-meter with a score of 272.10. She barely edged out teammate
Grace Reeves in the 1-meter who finished with a score of 227.28.
Marist picked up a second place finish in the 400-yard medley relay to start the evening off. The team consisted of
Juliet Nowak,
Georgeanne Zimmerman,
Emma Butzler and
Jessica Freund.
Heather Hartman won the 1000-yard freestyle event with a MAAC best time of 10:34.46.
Kimberly Chan finished behind her with a third place finish.
Freshman
Amanda Poor picked up her first career win, claiming first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:00.11.
Marist finished off the meet with a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The team of
Veronica Stureborg Juliet Nowak,
Emily Swigart and
Georgeanne Zimmerman won with a time of 3:48.12.
The Red Foxes return home next Saturday to host Rider. Meet time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
