HAMDEN, Connecticut- The Red Foxes are recently coming off of a huge win that helped them clinch a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference playoff berth. This weekend they will be traveling to Connecticut for their last regular season away game versus the Quinnipiac Bobcats. They are currently 6-2 in the MAAC and will be looking to finish the regular season on a strong note.

- In what was a close game until the last seven minutes, the Red Foxes pulled off a 2-0 victory against Siena.
- The first half of play was scoreless due to competitive defense.
- With seven minutes to go, Katey Samarro dribbled up the field and, seeing an opening, fired from 25 yards out to score in the upper 90 of the net.
- Feeling the momentum, the Red Foxes answered yet again minutes later with a free kick by Alexa Svensson leading to a goal headed in by Nicole Sasso.Â
- The Bobcats currently hold a 3-3-2 conference record and are 6-7-2 overall.
- Last time out for them was a 2-1 loss against MAAC opponent Rider.
- Goalkeeper Olivia Myszewski was the player to watch, where she ended the match with five saves.
- Madison Borowiec has four goals on the season.
- With one more win, Marist will be guaranteed the second-seed in the MAAC Playoffs.
- Alexa Svesson continues to lead the MAAC with seven assists.
- Kristen Reilly and Nicole Sasso now lead the team with four goals each.
- Abigail Renaud ranks second in the conference with a goals-against average of 0.86.
- In her first year as a head coach, Coach Leigh Howard has guided the team to improve their MAAC win record, and match their overall win total from 2017 with two games to go.   Â

For the regular season finale, women's soccer will host Fairfield on October 24 at 7 p.m. The MAACÂ Championships are set to begin on October 28, but the top two seeds will not play their first games until November 1.
