POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist volleyball team will finish off home play this weekend. On Saturday they will face off against the Rider Broncos and Sunday they host the Saint Peters Peacocks. Both games are scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be in the McCann Arena.

The Red Foxes lost a pair of matches 2-3 to Niagara and Canisius last weekend. Against Canisius, Marist started slow but would respond well to force a fifth set. The Griffs took control of set five and won it to take the match win.
Nikki DeSerpa and
Sarah Austin had big games for Marist against Niagara but it was not enough to pick up the win.

The Broncs are currently 12-9 overall and are riding a four game winning streak. In their last match against Fairleigh Dickinson, they won in four sets. Rider boasts one of the top defensive teams in the MAAC, holding opponents to the third lowest hitting percentage, kills and second lowest service aces.
The Peacocks are 6-21 overall including a 3-10 record in conference play. Their last match was against Fairfield where they lost in four sets. Saint Peter's Karla Seda ranks sixth in the conference in digs with 4.04 per set.

Marist will honor its two seniors,
Taylor van der Biezen and
Lauren Waide prior to the start of the match. With 2,472 career assists and 105 career service aces, van der Biezen sits at sixth in school history in assists and right outside the top ten in aces. She ranks third in the MAAC in service aces and fifth in assists. Waide notched her 100
th career block this season and currently ranks tenth in the conference in hitting percentage at .274.

The Red Foxes look to finish home play strong. Two wins would bring their overall home record to 9-2. The last time Marist only dropped two matches at home was back in 2015 when the Red Foxes finished the season 21-10 and 11-2 at home.

Volleyball will travel to Connecticut to take on Quinnipiac followed by Fairfield next weekend on November 3
rd and 4
th.
