POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Women's swimming and diving won their first meet of the season, taking down Rider 166-134.
Esabelle Gervasio set a new record on the 1-meter dive with 285.90 points. Her score also qualifies her for the NCAA Diving Championships in March.
Gervasio also picked up the win in the 3-meter scoring 278.40 points.
Grace Reeves added to Marist's overall point total with a third place finish in the 1-meter.
Marist excelled in several distance events.
Jordyn Deubel won all the individual events she entered, picking up wins in the 200-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle and 200-yard IM.
Heather Hartmann continued to shine as one of Marist's top distance swimmers, winning the 1000-freestyle and taking second in the 200- and 500-yard freestyle.
Several other swimmers posted wins throughout the evening.
Juliet Nowak picked up a win in the 100-yard backstroke while
Georgeanne Zimmerman earned the win in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Emma Butzler continued her strong rookie season, with a win in the 100-yard freestyle and second in the 200 and 100-yard butterfly.
Marist had a thrilling 400-yard relay win to cap off a great team win.

Jordyn Deubel made up the Marist A team for the race. The relay started with Marist taking the lead but Rider would soon take over. Trailing Rider by several feet, Deubel picked up the pace and led the Red Foxes to win in 3:40.35 minutes, .14 seconds ahead of Rider.
The Red Foxes will take on defending MAAC champions Fairfield next. Meet time is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
