WEST POINT, New York – Marist men's tennis had a busy weekend, competing in the Army Invitational. The team would square off against seven different teams over the course of the weekend.
- Marist would split singles matches with Sacred Heart. MaxDarrington beat Lucca Casalduc Pla 6-4 and 7-5 and Kian Yazdi took down Ayman Khan 6-3 and 6-4.
- John Oxner would need three sets to defeat Chris Sause, winning the first one 6-1, dropping the next one 6-3 and winning the last one 10-5.
- St. Johns swept the Red Foxes in doubles matches, with Marist dropping its matches, 6-4, 6-3 and 6-3.
- In Army versus Marist doubles, Marist picked up a doubles win from Christopher Gladden and John Oxner. Playing in the two spot, they defeated Diego Huttepain and Alejandro Quiros 6-2.
- The duo of Gladden and Oxner also picked up a doubles win against UConn, taking down John Holtmann and Jack McLister 7-6.
- Marist picked up four singles wins against St. Bonaventure. John Oxner defeated John Rutkowski 6-2, 6-1 and Kian Yazdi defeated Logan D'Angelo 6-3, 6-3.
- Lars Schouten and Gladden had the closest sets against St. Bonaventure. Schouten dropped his first set 2-6 but went on to pick up set wins 7-6 and 10-7 to beat Ante Zovko. Gladden took the first set 6-1, dropped the next set 6-3 and rebounded with a 10-7 victory to earn the win over Lukas Liden Malmberg.
- The first double team of Lars Schouten and Piotr Sowinski defeated NJIT's Tomi Antoljak and Zac Castagana.
- Gladden and Oxner picked up their third doubles win of the weekend, beating George Svensson and Lukas Zvikas.
- The final match of the weekend was against the MAAC defending champs Monmouth. Marist fared well in an early match-up with the Hawks winning two single match ups. Gladden, playing in the number three spot, dropped his first set 6-4 against Will Cooke Wharton but one the next one 6-2 and won the match tie-breaker 11-9.
- Oxner picked up the other single win against Monmouth in the four spot, defeating Alberto Giuffrida 6-1, 6-3.
