NASHVILLE, Tennessee - The Red Foxes tamed the Pride on Saturday afternoon, increasing their season-opening win streak to five.Â

- Willow Duffell started off the game strong for the Red Foxes, recording four points and four rebounds in the first five minutes.
- At the end of the first, Grace Vander Weide led the team with five points to hold the lead for the Red Foxes 16-13.
- Duffell continued to contribute to the team scoring, making consecutive field goals in the second to take back the lead 22-20 after it was lost to Hofstra.
- Marist led by 35-27 at the half, with Rebekah Hand scoring nine points in the second quarter.
- At the beginning of the third, Fitzpatrick made back-to-back field goals to spark a 10-0 run for Marist.
- The Red Foxes eventually led by as many as 20 points at the beginning of the fourth. Sarah Barcello made two consecutive three-pointers to propel Marist into the final quarter.
- Hofstra was eventually able to cut down the lead, but could get no closer than the final score of 71-57.
- Sophomore guard Allie Best handed out a tournament-record and career-high 9 assists to aid in the team's success.
- Rebekah Hand led all scorers with 20 points, and also contributed 5 rebounds and an assist.
- Willow Duffell stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal.
- Hofstra's leading scorer was Ana Gil Hernandez, scoring 16 points.
- The Red Foxes shot .518 from the field and .389 from three, while holding the Pride to .407 shooting and .286 from behind the arc.
- Marist's 5-0 start is a program record.
- Maura Fitzpatrick has reached 984 career points after today's 9 point, 4 rebound and 2 assist showing.
- Rebekah Hand has scored 20 or more points in three out of five contests this season, averaging 19.6 per game.
- Marist is now 2-8 with Hofstra all time.

The Red Foxes will close out the Challenge in Music City against Wright State tomorrow at 3:30 PM EST. Both teams have gone 2-0 in play this weekend with wins over Stetson and Hofstra.
