The Red Foxes traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to compete in the Challenge in Music City. Marist took two of the three games, defeating Stetson 76-69 and Hofstra 71-57, before falling to Wright State 76-60. Marist is 5-1 on the season.

In the Wright State game, the Red Foxes led 35-32 at the half. However, a 26-point third quarter would propel the Raiders to victory. Senior Maura Fitzpatrick also reached double figures with 13 points on 2-4 shooting from three and 4-7 shooting from the field. Sophomore forward Willow Duffell led with seven rebounds, while red-shirt junior point guard Grace Vander Weide led with five assists.

Hand was selected to the All-Tournament team. She tallied 15 points vs. Stetson and 20 points each against Hofstra and Wright State. She shot 23-36 (.639) from the field and 10-17 (.588) from behind the arc in the tournament.

The Phoenix come into the game with a 2-3 record, hot off a 88-74 home victory over Chowan. They are lead by Emily Maupin who leads the team with 13 points per game and is second with 5.6 rebounds per game. Elon is the second CAA opponent Marist has faced this season.
