SAN LUIS OBISPO, California – The Marist softball team wrapped up play at the Shareslo Mustang Classic with a 6-1 win over Santa Clara.

Junior hurler
Megan Beiermeister brought the heat today. She pitched a complete game while allowing five hits, two walks, one run, and striking out three. She needed just 93 pitches, and threw 58 of them for strikes. The offense also had everything working today with nine hits, six runs, and five walks. Junior
Madison Lee came off the bench with two key hits, two runs scored, and one RBI. Sophomore backstop
Jade Sinskul also smacked two hits and added two RBIs. Freshman
Caroline Baratta worked a walk and hit a double, and she came around to score on each.

SERIES STATS
- Red-shirt sophomore Claire Oberdorf wore out opposing pitchers, reaching base in 11 of her 16 plate appearances this weekend(6 hits, 3 HBP, 2 BB). She also scored four runs.
- Sophomore Ali Milam scored three runs and drove in four.
- Baratta had four hits and four runs scored.
- Beiermeister threw complete games in both of her starts. She racked up 14 innings pitched and 12 Ks, while only allowing eight hits, seven walks, and one run.
- Junior Kallen Leeseberg threw a complete game in her start and worked 3.2 innings in relief. She tossed 9.2 innings of three-run ball and struck out five.
