Marist Softball Drops Two Close Games At Reveille Classic

Red Foxes Fall 3-1 To UConn, 2-1 To Michigan State

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Marist softball team lost a pair of close, low-scoring games on Saturday at the Reveille Classic. The Red Foxes were defeated 3-1 by UConn in their first game of the day, and lost 2-1 to Michigan State in their second game.

Summary
  • Devon Casazza's two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the second staked UConn to a 2-0 lead.
  • Marist had runners in scoring position in the first, third, and fourth innings, but was unable to score.
  • In the fifth, sophomore Ali Milam's two-out double brought home freshman Caroline Baratta, which cut Marist's deficit to 2-1.
