COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Marist softball team fell to Texas A&M 4-1 to wrap up play at the Reveille Classic.

SUMMARY
Junior hurler Kallen Leeseberg went the distance. She allowed six hits, three walks, and four runs, while striking out two. On the offensive side, freshman shortstop Caroline Baratta and senior outfielder Gabrielle Kelliher each contributed two hits. The big blow came off the bat of center fielder Ali Milam, who smashed a solo homer to right in the top of the 6th. Marist picked up more hits (7) than Texas A&M (6) but also left more runners on base (Red Foxes 10, Aggies 5).

Baratta picked up six hits. She is now batting .378.

Milam also picked up six hits and is now hitting a team-high .400. She smacked three extra base hits(two doubles and one home run) and picked up three RBIs this weekend. Her home run was her third of the season, which leads the team.

Marist got complete games from junior Megan Beiermeister, freshman Nicole Teague, and Leeseberg.

Marist is now 8-15 overall. Texas A&M is 29-4.

Marist will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina for the RDU/RDP challenge. Marist will play Kennesaw State University at 12:15 on Friday, March 23rd, and North Carolina State at 4:15. On Saturday, Marist will play Niagara at 10 AM, and there will be another game TBA. Sunday's game is also TBA. The full schedule will be announced when available.
