DETRIOT, MI – Despite a late comeback run in the fourth quarter, Marist men's lacrosse fell to Detroit Mercy 14-10 Saturday afternoon.

Marist started hot, scoring three goals from three different players in the first four minutes of the game. After the Titans took a time out, they matched Marist's scoring output with three goals of their own to close the first quarter. Detroit Mercy outscored the Red Foxes 4-2 in the second quarter to take a 7-5 lead going in the locker room.

The Titans went into the second half aggressive, scoring four unanswered goals before
Gannon Morrison could get on the board with a goal. Detroit's Charlie Hayes snuck a goal in with six seconds left in the third quarter to take a 13-6 lead in the fourth quarter. The Red Foxes were not going to back down as Morrison and
Avery Nesmith each scored two goals to come within three goals with 4:22 left. It proved not to be enough as Detroit scored again with 2:30 left and put the game out of reach for Marist.
