Poughkeepsie, NY- Men's lacrosse takes on Manhattan its Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference home opener Saturday March 24th. Face-off is scheduled for 1 pm.
 
Last Outing:
Marist fell to Detroit Mercy 14-10 last Saturday. The Foxes went up 3-0 right away to begin the game, but Detroit answered and took control of the game from there. Gannon Morrison scored 4 goals and had 1 assist and Avery Nesmith had 3 goals to lead the Foxes in points, but it still wasn't enough.
 
Scouting Manhattan:
The Jaspers are 3-5 this year with a 0-1 record in conference play. Junior Joseph Bressingham was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week. Bressingham notched a career-high 11 ground balls against the Hawks and went 17-of-24 on face-offs. The eight goals Manhattan scored came directly after him winning the faceoff. Parker Giarratana has been the Jasper's top play maker, leading the team with 28 points from 17 goals and 11 assists.
 
Last Matchup:
Marist defeated Manhattan 16-6 at Gaelic Park last year. After taking a 7-0 lead to start the game, Marist never looked back. The Red Foxes had 11 different players score with Mitchell Standera leading with three goals. Matt Galioto scored his first career goal.
 
Milestone Watch:
Corrigan needs nine more saves to hit 500 career saves. The senior goalie ranks in the top ten of active leaders in saves.

The Red Foxes remain at home to play Canisius College Saturday March 31. Faceoff is set for 12:00 pm.
