NEW HAVEN, Connecticut – The Red Foxes drop their final non-conference game against #5 Yale 14-4.
SUMMARY
The Bulldogs used a fast break to score within the first four minutes of the game. Marist had some good opportunities early on, but could not connect passes on offense to score.
Joe Tierney finally got the Red Foxes on the board with 8:08 left in the first quarter to tie it up. Yale rattled off three more to end the first quarter 4-1.
Marist's defense stepped up to keep an explosive offense in check throughout the first half. They played excellent man down defense, not allowing a single goal.
Brian Corrigan made several spectacular saves, finishing the half with seven. Yale tallied three more goals while Tierney added another one for the Red Foxes as they trailed 7-2 at the end of the half.
Jake Weinman scored within the first minute of the third quarter to cut Yale's lead. But the bulldogs responded with six unanswered goals to give them a big enough cushion midway through the fourth quarter.

- Tierney led Marist with two goals.
- Corrigan played well between the pipes, recording 14 saves and keeping Marist in the game in the first half.
- Nick Nye finished the day with a team high four ground balls.
- Marist played excellent man-down defense, holding Yale to 1-for-6 on man up opportunities.
- After dominating the face-off position last game, the Red Foxes struggled against the Bulldogs, only winning 5-of-21.
