POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist softball team split a doubleheader against Army West Point on Thursday, April 5. The Red Foxes defeated Army 2-1 on a walk-off in the bottom of the seventh inning in game one but lost 5-0 in game two.

- Army then loaded the bases in the following inning but was able to capitalize as Katie Ontiveros drove in a run on an infield error.
- The Black Knights tacked on two runs in the later innings as two runners came in to score on wild pitches, extending their lead to 5-0.
- The Red Foxes threatened again in the bottom of the sixth, but again failed to convert with runners in scoring position, leaving runners on second and third. Marist then went quiet in the seventh inning.
