- Maine led Marist in corner kicks 9-3.

"Today was a frustrating game for us because I feel as though we took steps backwards from last weekend. We went up early on good ball in by Alexa Svensson that Nicole Sasso did well to fight through. However, we struggled to find our way throughout the course of the rest of regulation and that was reflected in them coming back to tie it up. We were pleased by the overtime effort put forth and how hard we fought through the those final minutes, but it needs to be something we can put together for the games entirety in order for us to get a more positive result." - Coach Leigh Howard.

The Red Foxes continue on the road and in non-conference play for the second game of the TD Bank Classic on Sunday, August 26 against the host, Vermont. Marist will then return home for its season opener on Sunday, September 2
nd against Rhode Island.
