POUGHKEEPSIE, New York –  The Marist volleyball team will travel to Loudonville, NY to take on MAAC rival Siena on Friday, September 21st. First serve is scheduled for 7 P.M.

The Red Foxes swept Niagara on Sunday, September 16th. Each set was 25-21. Sophomore outsider hitter
Sarah Austin led Marist with 14 kills, followed by junior
Nikki DeSerpa and sophomore
Chidera Udeh with 12 each. Senior setter
Taylor van der Biezen racked up 40 assists and seven service aces. Marist had six total blocks up front, half of those coming from junior
Stephanie Stone. This win improved the Red Foxes to 5-7 overall and 2-0 in MAAC matchups.

Siena is 1-11 overall and 0-2 in MAAC play. The Golden Griffins are coming off of a 3-1 loss to Canisius on Sunday, September 16th. Nicole Deobler led Siena with 11 kills, followed by Brooke Rogers with seven. Dakota Jackson had the lone service ace. Jessica Eblin led with 26 assists. Rogers and Julia Burzynski led with two blocks each.

Junior
Nikki DeSerpa has come out swinging to the start the 2018 season. She currently leads the Red Foxes with 140 kills. DeSerpa started off MAAC play with a huge weekend, racking up 16 kills vs Canisius on Saturday and 12 vs Niagara on Sunday. A selection to the 2017 All-MAAC first team, DeSerpa also leads Marist with 161.5 total points.

Marist will return to McCann Arena to host Fairfield on Wednesday, September 26th. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
