EDISON, New Jersey – Redshirt-freshman midfielder Kristen Prevosto has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Rookie of the week, as announced on Monday. It's the first MAAC Rookie honor for the Red Foxes this season.
 
Prevosto capitalized off a great feed from teammate Keri Bradley and scored the first goal of her career against the University of Rhode Island Sunday afternoon. Prevosto's first half goal led the Red Foxes into the break with a lead and eventually helped propel Marist to a 2-1 home victory, the team's second win of the season.
 
A knee injury kept Prevosto sidelined all last season, but the redshirt-freshman has made an immediate impact for the Red Foxes this season, starting all four games thus far.
 
The Red Foxes will take the pitch again on Sunday, September 9^th when they travel to take on Yale in another non-conference match.
